Summer League 2010 Softball Tournament - Round 1

I haven't had time to posts highlights from games 10,11, and 12 but Lady Hornets are about to go the semi-final/final on Saturday.

Here are highlights from the first round with the North Harford Thunders last Tuesday. I have a few pictures of the softball players. Enjoy!

Highlights for Softball Games 3 and 8

In the summer softball league, the Edgewood Team wasn't bad and played almost at the same level because they kept the Lady Hornets under double digits. The Lady Hornets' pitching was better but Edgewood has this pitcher that throws very fast and is lights out when accurate.

Games 5 and 6 Summaries

The Lady Hornets only competition in the Softball summer league seems to be teams with the name Thunder. If not, the game ends up like the results below.

Game 5, Lady Hickory Hornets win vs. Fallston Flames, June 29, 2010 at Fallston. At least 20 - 3.
Game 6, Lady Hickory Hornets win vs. Jarrettsville/Carroll Jaguars, July 1, 2010 at Tucker. 27 - 7.

Game 4: 10U Hickory Lady Hornets vs North Harford (Black) Thunders

It was the Lady Hornets first softball game loss that was heartbreaking. The Lady Hornets had the game in the bag in the last inning but with the unlimited run rule, bad break after bad break lead to a nightmarish ending. It was tough for the girls but they get a few days to regroup!
